Are You Confused as to What to do After Your First 30 Days Sober?
Have you tried this out before, only to come unstuck again and fall straight back into old habits?
Believe me, I have been there.
It can feel such a relief to have ‘made it through’ 30 days and ‘proven’ to ourselves that we don’t’ have a ‘problem’ that we jump right back on the alcohol bandwagon once more. Only to find that in a few day’s time we are right back where we started, or even drinking more than before. You are not alone. This is a common error after your first 30 days sober.
“I’ve done 30 days sober what now?”
Why We Jump Back On the Merry Go Round
It took me years of going around the houses with this to realise this one thing: we cannot undo neural pathways. We only overwrite them. This means that if you have developed a poor relationship with alcohol, that however long we abstain for, once you jump back on the alcohol train, those old neural pathways light up like a Christmas tree.
It might sound like a harsh reality when I tell you that the best and clearest path is to abstain. However, let me reassure you that the reality on the other side of this decision is nothing less than pure magic. You see, the only thing stopping you from wanting to let go of alcohol permanently is that you attach perceived benefits to drinking. If you are really curious as to what to do after your first 30 days sober, then looking at these is a great starting point.
The good news is that none of these benefits are actually true. They are nothing but the result of years of social brainwashing. They are nothing but a Matrix trick designed to keep you out of your power. To keep you small.
When we unpick these perceived benefits and start to see them for what they really are: the opposite of the truth, we experience a paradigm shift. This then enables us to move into a new reality. A reality where we connect back in with our inner guidance system. A reality where we empower ourselves to create the life of our dreams. Your first 30 days sober is literally on the beginning. After that the sky is the limit.
Why NOT Jumping Back on it Might Not Be So Scary
“What to do after your first 30 days sober: KEEP GOING!”
The truth is the people never regret getting sober! Why? Because it is so damn good!
In a besober.uk’s survey in 2020, they reported that a whopping 77.6% of people quitting alcohol experienced an improvement in their mental health and 68.2% of people noticed that the quality of their relationships improved.

The benefits really do not end there. Check out my podcast episode where Kate Taylor talks about the huge myriad of benefits she has experienced in her first year alcohol free:

Alcohol Is a Manifestation Block
Being alcohol free makes you more magnetic when it comes to manifesting because: alcohol is a manifestation block! I found this out myself but have also come to understand it through lots of learning since then.https://coachingbyanneka.co.uk/blog/why-alcohol-is-a-manifestation-block/?_gl=1*8ev37g*_ga*MTc5NDI4NDY0OC4xNjczODA1MzY0*_up*MQ..
The first time I tried out not drinking in 2010, my life quickly went from 0-100. I quickly manifested things I had been yearning for for so long only to watch them all slowly unravel when I eventually went back to drinking just over a year later.
“I’ve done 30 days sober- what now?”
Just Focus on This for Now
But I rush ahead of myself: you are at the 30 day crossroads. Just focus on the next step.
If commiting to sobriety long term feels super daunting, but you kind of want to do it. Why not just extend your 30 day challenge to 90 days? The 30 days can be the toughest- as you move towards 90 days you will start to notice many more benefits that will keep you motivated and inspired.
